Upload assets

Add media to Flo from your computer or cloud storage, track upload progress, and find new assets in your library.

Prerequisites

Upload permission (typically content manager, contributor, or editor roles with asset create access).

How to use

1. Open the Upload modal

Click Upload in the top bar. The modal has three tabs:

Tab Purpose
Assets Upload media files
Metadata Import entity rows into your schema
Associate Link assets to entity records via spreadsheet

This guide covers the Assets tab.

2. Add files

Choose a source:

  • Local. Drag files onto the drop zone or click to browse
  • Cloud. Pick files from Google Drive (when connected)
  • External ID manifest (optional). Attach a CSV mapping external IDs to uploaded files

Review the file list showing name, size, and type.

3. Upload

Click Upload when your queue is ready. Track per-file progress and status in the modal.

4. View in Assets

When upload completes, click View Assets or close the modal and open Assets from the sidebar. New files appear with a processing state until proxies and metadata are ready.

Thumbnails and playback become available after the default ingest pipeline finishes.

Metadata and association tabs

  • Metadata tab. Import spreadsheet rows as entity records against your applied schema.
  • Associate tab. Upload a spreadsheet linking asset identifiers to entity records.

See metadata settings in the app for schema context.
